Will not allow division of Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in Delhi at any cost: KCR

‘TRS will form the first government in Telangana by securing two-third of majority’

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday said his party will not accept the division of Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi between residuary Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

He stated that TRS will form the first government in Telangana by securing two-third of majority and will take all possible steps to protect the interests of Telangana people.

KCR slammed Congress leaders Ponnala Laxmaiah, Damodar Raja Narasimha and Dharmapuri Srinivas for criticising him over his recent remarks that Seemandhra employees should not be given 'options' to work in Telangana.

He said, “They say I am trying to provoke people by making such remarks. I am only demanding justice for Telangana. What is wrong in that? What is the benefit of getting a separate state, if over 70-80 per cent employees from Seemandhra region continue to work in Secretariat, which is the heart of Telangana? If the same continues then when will our students and unemployed people get jobs?"

Mr Rao accused Ponnala Laxmaiah for helping Seemandhra leaders loot water reserves from Telangana, when he was the irrigation minister in YSR's cabinet.

“Ponnala is a member of gang of thieves who looted Telangana during the YSR regime. As a minister, he never made efforts to protect the interests of Telangana region. Instead, he supported construction of illegal projects in Seemandhra region,” said Rao.

TRS chief firmly said that his 'fight' for Telangana was not over with the creation of a separate state and his party will continue with the fight till full justice is delivered to the people of Telangana region.

He also ridiculed TDP chief N.Chandrababu Naidu's claim that their party will come to power in Telangana. "It's a joke of the millennium. Even after the formation of a separate state, Seemandhra leaders are still trying to loot Telangana by making false promises.”
