Lets admit it, rigorous exercise and daily diets are just not easy to keep up with. They involve investing a lot of time, money ,energy, and commitment into shedding those extra pounds. While all you self proclaimed 'couch-potatoes' are just waiting for a miracle why not try some of these lazy ways to burn that fat.

Try tightening your belt around your waist, by doing so you remind yourself not to gobble that entire steak and stick to smaller portions fearing your belt buckle may pop. Just remember not to give in to temptation and undo the notches.

Try getting into the habit of brushing your teeth after dinner, traditionally brushing teeth was a signal to stop eating. This will stop all your midnight snacking and you will sleep peacefully.

Majority of us tend to munch on junk food and snacks when we sit infront of the TV you can avoid that tendency by doing something else while watching TV , like mabye doing your nails, you can give yourself a good mani-pedi and avoid snacking infront of the TV and at the end of it you'll also have some really great nails to show-off. You can also try multi-tasking infront of the TV, and keeping yourself busy, doing so will help you not think of food.

It's been said many times before that sleeping is the most easiest and laziest way to lose weight. A study carried out by Canadian researchers to study the connection between sleep patterns and obesity showed that people who sleep for 5 to 6 hours a night gain around 4 pounds more than those who sleep for 7 to 8 hours. Many studies also say that sleep deprivation increases the levels of hunger in the body. A recent study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition detertmined that lack of sleep can also slow the rate at which calories are burner. So hit the snooze button and catch some extra Z's and sleep your way to weight loss.

Try playing video games that involve a lot of movement like 'Dance Dance Revolution'. All the motion sensored games offered by the 'Wii' and 'Playstation Move' are great options to lose weight and have fun at the same time. Bring out the child in you , play some video games and lose weight.

Taking breaks between your bites is another easy way to lose weight, after every bite try setting your fork or spoon down for a while , it slows the eating process and you tend to consume fewer calories. A study from Harbin Medical University in China said that people who chew their food 40 times per bite consume fewer calories than those who chewed their food just 15 times. Another way to avaoid consuming too many calories in one meal is drinking water before and after your meal.

When you go out try carrying a small clutch, in doing so you keep your hands full which makes it difficult to hold a plate or drink in your hands. Try these simple, silly methods and watch the weight vanish like that.
