Dayanand Shetty, a popular name from the TV show 'CID' has now managed to get a plum role in Rohit Shetty's 'Singham 2'. The actor is also a participant in the upcoming reality show, 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 5' hosted by Rohit Shetty.
Confirming this news, Dayanand Shetty was quoted in Absolute India newspaper saying ," Yes, I am playing a cop in Singham 2 along with Ajay sir. Soon after I came from Cape Town, I got a call from Rohit Shetty's office and things went ahead from there."
However, he will also be shooting for CID simultaneously. He was quoted saying, " I will manage to get some time for CID also. As and when I get time from filming Singham 2, I will shoot for CID and make sure my show doesn't suffer."
His character name on the TV show is' Daya'. It will be interesting to see what name Rohit Shetty comes up with for him in 'Singham 2'.
