Say hello to Sweden’s Ice Hotel-the hotel with the most expensive rooms, allows guests to design their own hotel room made of ice, which takes about two weeks to be made and costs a whopping £140,000 and and it lasts for only a few months!
This hotel is known for its uniquely crafted suites and beautiful ice sculptures. The hotel offers a ‘Haute Coture travel experience’ for stays during the winter months of December to March.
All the ice used in the production of these one-of-a-kind masterpieces comes from the river Torne. The river is one of the unpolluted rivers of Europe and is free of pollutants and waste, so much sp that the blocks of ice that are manufactured from the river are transparent and do not contain a single air bubble.
Each room is made exclusively for the guest and on departure the room will melt into the river when spring sets in, once its completely melted the patrons will receive a bottle containing the ‘melted’ suite and photographs, sketches and blueprints of the room.
The hotel icludes a personal consulation at the home of the customer, a complimentary stay at the hotel and the opportunity to participate in the production process of the room that takes up to two weeks to complete.
