Bangladesh: Afghanistan's Asghar Stanikzai smashed an unbeaten 90 and Samiullah Shenwari made 81 to steer Afghanistan to 254-6 in their Asia Cup match against Bangladesh on Saturday.
Stanikzai and Shenwari added 164 for the sixth wicket at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium after Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bowl in just Afghanistan's third match against a full member of the International Cricket Council. Nawroz Mangal scored 24 while Najibullah Zadran made 21.
Arafat Sunny was the pick of the Bangladesh bowlers, returning figures of 2-44. Mominul Haque and Rubel Hossain took one wicket each
