Bharosa for confidence among youths, says SP

22 government, private firms take part in the Bharosa job mela.

Karimnagar: Karimnagar Superintendent of Police V. Siva Kumar said ‘Bharosa’, an employment initiative by the cops to wean away youths from joining the Maoist party, was aimed at instilling confidence among youths.

Th SP was addressing the programme at Kataram mandal headquarters on Tuesday. Around 20 organisations from private and government sectors took part in the job mela conducted, as part of Bharosa.

Speaking on the occasion, he criticised the Naxalites for indulging in massacres, in the name of revolution, which has become a bane for developmental activities.

On Maoist leader Usendi’s surrender, the SP said several members of the extremist groups were surrendering themselves before police due to internal clashes, difference of opinion over ideologies and poor health.

He stated that free coaching would be given to interested candidates for working as constables in the police department.

He assured that steps would be taken for extending support to the kin of the those slain by Maoists and families of surrendered extremists.

OSD L. Subbarayudu, Godavarikhani DSP D. Uday Kumar Reddy, Kataram CI T. Srinivasa Rao, DRDA PD Sankaraiah, IKP AD Chandramohan Reddy, NAAC assistant director Radhakrishna Murthy and police personnel attended the programme.
