Hyderabad: A record of sorts was created in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. On Saturday, Speaker Nadendla Manohar announced that he has received 9,024 proposals for amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill 2013.
Announcing this in the House, the Speaker said that since the number of proposals was too high; the hard copies of all the amendments would be given to the floor leaders of all parties in the Assembly. He added that the soft copies of the amendments would be made available to all MLAs.
He further stated that voting on every clause would be difficult. So far only 10 members have spoken about the Telangana Bill in the House.
