Ooty: The lovely hills here reverberated with hearty slogans from an unprecedented turnout of party members and local fans who gathered to greet AIADMK leader and CM J. Jayalalithaa when she arrived at Kodanad on Tuesday for a well deserved rest.
Some of the followers cheered her as the future PM while some others raised slogans hailing her welfare schemes for the Nilgiris. The crowds stood cheering all along the road as the CM, who arrived by helicopter shortly before 3 pm, drove to her bungalow.
Jayalaithaa waved back smilingly at the crowd. AIADMK district secretary S. Kalaiselvan, MP K.R.Arjunan and Ooty MLA Budhichandran presented bouquets to the CM.
