India is an important market for us, says Saudi Arabia’s prince Saud

Bangalore: Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thenayan Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, who is the chairman of SABIC and chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu, has observed that Saudi Arabia and India have a long history of deep relationships. “We believe in the future of Indian - a rapidly developing nation where partnership and inclusive development is a priority,” he said.

He was speaking at the inaugural programme of SABIC Technol­ogy Centre in the city on Friday.

"India is an important market for us in Asia, which is why our investment here is significant," he said.

He observed that the Bangalore centre of the company will play a key role in the vision 2025 prepared by the company. "We want to become the world's no 1 company by 2025.

The Bangalore centre will play a key role here. Investment and the employee strength in the centre will be increased as per the requirement," he said.

The chief guest, Governor Dr.H. R. Bharadwaj said the cordial relationship between India and Saudi goes back several hundred years. "It started with the spiritual connection. Vedanta and the Quran have similar preaching. Our connection began there," he said.
