Thieves Steal EV Charging Guns, Cables
The EV charging point is being run by Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited (TGREDCO), Hyderabad, and it has been installed at the GHMC parking lot at Gate No. 4 of the KBR Park in Banjara Hills.
Hyderabad: Two EV guns along with cables were stolen from a machine set up for charging electric vehicles outside KBR Park under Banjara Hills police station limits. Police suspect that on June 6 late night, miscreants with the help of a cutter detached the EV guns and cables from the charging point.
The EV charging point is being run by Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited (TGREDCO), Hyderabad, and it has been installed at the GHMC parking lot at Gate No. 4 of the KBR Park in Banjara Hills. “Some miscreants took away two EV guns along with the cables,” police said.
Locals after noticing that the EV guns were missing, they informed the TGREDCO officials, who in turn visited the crime scene and conducted inspection and took pictures of the spot. TGREDCO district manager T. Venugopal lodged a complaint in this regard. “A theft case has been registered and our teams are scanning the CCTV cameras. The culprits will be arrested soon,” a police officer said.
