Hyderabad:Telangana Electricity Regulatory Commission (TGERC) chairman Dr Justice Devaraju Nagarjuna praised the Power Exhibition‑2026, organised by TGSPDCL at Necklace Road, as an innovative, public‑friendly initiative offering students, youth and citizens a comprehensive view of the power sector’s history, modern technology, safety norms and distribution systems.

Accompanied by members Raghu Kancherla (Technical) and Cherukuri Srinivasarao (Finance), he visited the exhibition at People’s Plaza on Monday.

Noting the strong response, he suggested exploring a permanent power museum or exhibition centre in Hyderabad to showcase the state’s 120‑year journey in electricity generation, transmission and distribution, along with smart‑grid and digital initiatives. He also recommended holding similar exhibitions at district headquarters.

TGERC members said bringing together sectoral progress, technology, safety standards and consumer services on one platform was commendable, urging TGSPDCL and the state government to organise such awareness programmes on a larger scale. Former DGP Kothakota Srinivas Reddy also visited the exhibition.
