Telangana: CP Warns Of Tough Action Against Ganja Network

KARIMNAGAR: Ramagundam police commissioner Amber Kishore Jha on Wednesday warned of stringent action against those involved in the cultivation, transportation, storage and sale of ganja.
The warning came after the Ramagundam Police destroyed 40.173 kg of ganja, valued at ₹17.9 lakh, which had been seized in connection with 81 cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at various police stations.
Speaking on the occasion, the commissioner said the state government was taking stringent measures to curb the cultivation, transportation, storage, distribution and sale of ganja, drugs and other narcotic substances.
He said local police, the Special Drug Control Team and the Narcotics Wing were conducting joint operations to crack down on the illegal narcotics trade.
