MIM MLA Mir Zulfeqar Ali urged the State government to allocate special funds for the development of the historic Charminar as a large number of tourists throng the area everyday.

Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha announced opening of 70 new dialysis centre keeping in view the necessities of the patients. This is in addition to 103 existing centres. A policy decision has been taken to ensure each dialysis centre covering an average distance of over 25 kms.

Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha said that the health department has sought the approval of Finance department for sanctioning 813 posts including 213 doctors and other staff at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS)

The State government has increased the average emergency response time from 16 minutes to 11 minutes through ambulances. With the induction of 78 new ambulances, the response time will be brought down to 10 minutes in tribal areas, said Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha said.

Several MLAs including CPI Legislator Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao and BJP Legislator Palvai Hairsh Babu sought to know the amenities being provided to patients in various government hospitals in Telangana. The MLAs urged the government to improve amenities in Gandhi Hospital in Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad and other governments in the districts.

Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha said the State government would take necessary measures to construction an additional floor at the government school in Udaynagar in Banjara Hills in the interest of school students 

Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha on Monday assured that the State government would enquire into the admission process in Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan educational institution in Jubilee Hills and act accordingly. He said this in response to a question raised by Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender urging the State government to take serious action against Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan for being monopoly and failing to allocate seats for school students from SC and ST communities as per their quota.

Minister of women and child welfare Seethakka said that as many as Rs.20,000 crore was allocated for Self Help Groups (SHGs) every year in three phases for the financial development of the women in the State  

Transport and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said in Telangana Legislative Council that although Rs.11,000 crore was allocated for weaker sections only Rs.2,400 crore has been spent so far due to the financial crisis left by the previous government. He said this while replying to a question raised by MLC Teenmar Mallanna in the Council
