Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha announced opening of 70 new dialysis centre keeping in view the necessities of the patients. This is in addition to 103 existing centres. A policy decision has been taken to ensure each dialysis centre covering an average distance of over 25 kms.

The State government has increased the average emergency response time from 16 minutes to 11 minutes through ambulances. With the induction of 78 new ambulances, the response time will be brought down to 10 minutes in tribal areas, said Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha said.

Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha on Monday assured that the State government would enquire into the admission process in Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan educational institution in Jubilee Hills and act accordingly. He said this in response to a question raised by Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender urging the State government to take serious action against Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan for being monopoly and failing to allocate seats for school students from SC and ST communities as per their quota.
