Hyderabad: Minor Held With 48 Kg Ganja
Two air bags and two large briefcases filled with ganja were recovered.
HYDERABAD: The Khairatabad zone commissioner’s task force along with Abids police, detained a child in conflict with law (CCL) suspect who was allegedly transporting ganja and seized 48 kg worth ₹24.5 lakh from him. Special teams intercepted him on Nampally station road while he was about to board a train to New Delhi after procuring the contraband from Visakhapatnam.
Two air bags and two large briefcases filled with ganja were recovered. The absconding accused were identified as Bandiya of New Delhi, Noushad alias Sunil Rajesh of Andhra Pradesh, and Mukesh Rao and Ankit Kumar alias Shiva of Bihar.
During questioning, the juvenile revealed he had completed intermediate and was working as a Blinkit delivery rider. Financial difficulties led him to Ankit Kumar, a childhood acquaintance, who induced him into ganja transport for quick money, DCP Task Force Vaibhav Raghunath Gaikwad said. The juvenile and seized contraband were handed over to Abids police, produced before the JJB court and shifted to a juvenile home.
