Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Describing Sunday’s I.N.D.I.A. bloc’s ‘vote bachao’ in Delhi as a ‘ghusbaitiya bachao rally’, Union home minister Amit Shah has accused the Congress of trying to restore the names of three crore ‘infiltrators’, who were removed as part of the special intensive revision of the electoral roll. He asserted that even if Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy placed all their efforts, they would not be able to protect the ‘infiltrators’ who would be eliminated from the electoral roll and from the nation.

Addressing a massive ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ (Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy) rally here, at the conclusion of a 26-minute padayatra, the home minister said that of the 13 crore names being cited by Rahul Gandhi as deleted as part of SIR, close to three crore were infiltrators. Another 6.5 crore voters had moved or shifted and close to three crore were deceased.

“Rahul holds the Constitution in hand, but doesn't respect the Constitution. Rahul ji, you don't allow Parliament to run. Be it EVMs, SIR, infiltrators, I challenge you from Hyderabad,” Shah said, in his approximately 22-minute speech. He was accompanied by Union minister Kishan Reddy and top state BJP leaders including Telangana party president N. Ramchander Rao

He said the BJP-led NDA government was ready to convene a special session of Parliament on the issue and dared Rahul Gandhi to debate the matter in the House.

If a Parliament session was held, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will “shred Congress into pieces,” he said and accused the Congress of wishing to be in the limelight through anarchy.

“The Congress wants to win with bogus voting and non-existent dead voters. Rahul Gandhi is raising such a hue and cry precisely to protect these fake votes and those of the infiltrators. No matter how hard Rahul Gandhi or Revanth Reddy may try, we will not allow a single Bangladeshi infiltrator to remain on the electoral rolls.” He then asked the crowd: “Don’t you think they should be removed,” and the audience replied loudly in his support.

Shah accused Revanth Reddy of transforming Telangana into an ‘ATM’ for the Delhi leadership of the party. Highlighting how the Congress government in Telangana was indulging in corruption, he said that ‘RR Tax’ was no more a Revanth Reddy Tax, but ‘Rahul Tax through Revanth Reddy’.

He alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfill its poll promises. Rather, he said, there was a conspiracy to sell Telangana. He said neither the Congress, nor other parties like the AIMIM or the BRS could stop this corruption. “Wherever there was a chance, the Congress indulged in corruption. Telangana’s people won’t forgive you, Rahul. Can Congress stop this? Can Owaisi stop? Can BRS stop this,” he asked.

Mocking the Congress for blaming EVMs whenever they lose. “How were non-BJP governments formed in Tamil Nadu and Kerala? We are ready for a discussion on VVPATs and EVMs. If the Congress has the courage, why don't they come forward for a debate in Parliament?” he asked. Shah remarked that Rahul Gandhi could never become Prime Minister except perhaps in a 'mock parliament.'

Amit Shah called upon party workers to sound the battle cry to permanently oust the Congress party and to establish a BJP government in Telangana.
