Former minister Jogu Ramanna.

Former minister Jogu Ramanna on Monday said unemployed youth were looking towards the BRS after the Congress government failed to fulfil its pre-election promises to them.

Speaking to the media, he said unemployed youth were realising that the state government was not sincere about its promise of job recruitment. He recalled that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had interacted with students preparing for jobs at Ashoknagar in Hyderabad.

Ramanna said a large number of youth attended the Rythu Garjana meeting held on Sunday, placing their hopes on the BRS and its leader K.T. Rama Rao.

BRS leader Bhargav Deshpande said the meeting had received a good response from people, particularly farmers and youth. He described the event as a success and thanked those who had contributed to it.

Deshpande said he was working with Ramanna to strengthen the party in the district, following directions from the party’s top leadership.

BRS senior leaders Routhu Manohar, Ijjagiri Narayana, Venganti Prakash, Yasam Narsinga Rao, Chandala Rajanna, Mettu Prahlad and Younus Akbani were present.
