Hostel Warden Faces Criticism After Girls Taken to Wedding
Headmaster of the government girls’ school Latha Madhuri said the school staff had no knowledge of the students being taken out of the hostel and said the warden was responsible for the incident.
Visakhapatnam:A hostel warden in Rajam, Vizianagaram district, has come under criticism after she reportedly took some students to a relative’s wedding in Vanjarampet and made them dance in public without informing school authorities or parents.
Adapa Rama, warden of the hostel attached to the Zilla Parishad Girls’ High School and Girls’ Junior College on Rajam Saradhi Road, reportedly took the students to the village two days ago. The incident came to light later.

Government Girls’ Junior College principal Janardhana Rao confirmed that intermediate students had attended the wedding and danced. “We received the information today. I reprimanded the students. The hostel warden did not take permission from us,” he said.
The incident has raised concerns over the supervision of hostel students and their movement outside the premises. The matter is expected to be reviewed by education authorities.
