VIJAYAWADA: Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan has said CCTV cameras will be installed in the RTC buses, and pocket (body worn) cameras for women conductors, to ensure the safety of women under the Stree Shakti Scheme. Through this, he said, women would be able to travel everywhere in the state with complete security.

Pawan Kalyan participated in the launch of the Stree Shakti scheme with chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, education minister Nara Lokesh, BJP state president PVN Madhav and others at the Pandit Nehru Bus Station here on Friday. He said this scheme offered women a chance to save ₹1500 to ₹2000 every month.

PK said, “I discussed the implementation of the free bus travel guarantee with the CM after the formation of the government. He said that it would be implemented soon. The credit goes to Naidu for overcoming many financial difficulties for the state with his foresight and experience and fulfilling the promises given to the people.”

The deputy CM stated, “Under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu, new investments and industries are coming to the state. The central government is providing adequate support for construction of Amaravati and boosting the financial strength of the Vizag steel plant. We will fulfill the trust placed in us by the people.''
