AP Releases ₹9.98 Crore For Mega Parent-Teacher Meetings

VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh government has released ₹9.98 crore for conducting the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (MPTM 3.1) in government schools across the state on July 24 and directed officials to ensure that the funds reach school accounts without delay.
State project director of Samagra Shiksha B. Srinivasa Rao said the amount had been credited to the accounts of Additional Project Coordinators (APCs) in all districts on Wednesday. He instructed district APCs to transfer the funds to the respective school accounts by 4 pm the same day to facilitate the smooth conduct of the programme.
Rao warned that any delay in transferring the funds to schools within the stipulated timeframe would not be tolerated.
He directed district-level officials, APCs and headmasters to ensure meticulous planning and implementation of the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting in accordance with the approved guidelines.
The Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting is intended to strengthen coordination between parents and schools, review students' academic progress and encourage greater parental participation in the education process. Officials said the advance release of funds would help schools organise the programme smoothly across the state.
