₹55.70 Crore Sanctioned For Road Infrastructure In Srikakulam
The Andhra Pradesh government sanctioned ₹55.70 crore to widen and strengthen 33.20 km of the Dola–Polaki–Naupada road.
The state government has sanctioned `55.70 crore for widening and strengthening 33.20 km of the Dola–Polaki–Naupada road in Srikakulam district.
The transport, roads and buildings department issued G.O.Rt.No.459 on August 28, granting administrative approval for the works.
The project has been divided into two stretches. The first, from km 0/0 to 17/0, covering 13 km in the Narasannapeta/Srikakulam area, has been sanctioned `25.20 crore.
The second stretch, from km 17/0 to 37/200, covering 20.20 km in the Tekkali/Srikakulam area, has been sanctioned `30.50 crore. Together, the two stretches account for `55.70 crore for widening and strengthening the 33.20-km road.
The road provides connectivity between Narasannapeta, Tekkali and Naupada and serves several coastal villages. Once completed, the works are expected to improve connectivity for fishing and other rural communities, according to a release.
