Rains likely in parts of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala over next few days

Isolated rainfall has been predicted over Telangana, Rayalseema, Odisha, over coastal and south interior Karnataka, and other areas as well

Nine low-pressure systems, including two cyclones, one deep depression and six lows, affected the country during the period

An 'yellow alert', indicating heavy rainfall, was issued in another five districts - Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Malappuram and Wayanad

This, according to IMD, is because a low-pressure area lying over the South-West Bay of Bengal off the Sri Lanka Coast

The four districts are Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Idukki

The IMD has also withdrawn the orange alert it issued for nine districts during October 21

Apart from that, the dams in the state are on a brim with Red alert sounded for over ten major dams in the state

Conditions will also remain favourable for commencement of withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon

Southwest monsoon has been active over Kerala and rain occurred at most places in Kerala and Lakshadweep, the IMD said

The IMD has issued an Orange alert for Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur districts
