Mumbai: Indrani Mukerjea’s second husband Sanjeev Khanna told cops during his interrogation that it was out of fear for his daughter Vidhie’s life that he give in to Indrani’s plot of killing Sheena.
According to media reports, Khanna said that Indrani lured him in to the plot by claiming that Sheena and her fiance, Rahul Mukerjea, were having plans of killing Vidhie, Indrani and Sanjeev's daughter.
Indrani told him that if both Sheena and Rahul were killed, Vidhie would be the sole rightful owner of Peter Mukerjea's assets which are valued at several hundred crores, Khanna had revealed earlier.

He also added that he regretted killing Sheena ever since he learnt that Sheena and Rahul never had any plans as claimed by Indrani. Indrani also promised to financially help him set up his business, which she did right after the murder.
Phone records point to the fact that Indrani and Khanna were in Bandra on the day of the murder.
Khanna was arrested on from Kolkata on Wednesday and brought to Mumbai on Thursday.
