Mumbai: Breaking her silence on the case, Indrani Mukherjea's daughter from her former husband Sanjeev Khanna, Vidhie, on Thursday said that she was shocked as anyone else to learn about the murder of Sheena Bora.
According to a report on India Today, Vidhie said she was very close to Indrani and could not believe her ‘mother could have killed Sheena’.
Vidhie also stated she was introduced to Sheena as her aunt and the two of them were close. “I was too young, we played together. We had a normal relation. She was nice and lively. I knew her as my aunt,” Vidhie was quoted as saying.

She also stated that she did not question about Sheena’s absence as she was told by Indrani that Sheena was in Los Angeles and did not want to remain in touch with the Mukerjeas. "It was an unpleasant topic, hence she did not bring it up," said the 18-year-old.
Vidhie also accepted having gone to Guwahati to visit Indrani’s parents. She said that while Sheena used call her Papa-ma, Vidhie called the Nana-nani.
She also categorically mentioned that though Sanjeev was her real father, it was Peter who she considered her dad.
Peter had married Indrani in 2002 and subsequently adopted Vidhie. Incidentally, Vidhie was with Peter in Rome when Sheena was murdered.
Indrani had two kids before Vidhie – Sheena and Mikhail from an earlier relationship - but she kept it a secret from Peter Mukerjea.
Peter's son Rahul, from a previous marriage, was reportedly having an affair with Sheena.
