Andhra bus accident: Fourteen people travelling in a jeep were killed when a speeding private bus collided with the vehicle in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh Saturday. Another six passengers in the ill-fated jeep sustained injuries and have been hospitalised, police said.

Terror attack on Pak hotel: At least three heavily-armed militants on Saturday stormed a five-star hotel in Pakistan's port city of Gwadar in the restive Balochistan province, leading to a shootout with security personnel, police said.

A guard at the entrance challenged them after which the terrorists opened fire and killed him, the army's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

AAP seeks apology from Gambhir: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday sent a legal notice to BJP candidate from East Delhi Gautam Gambhir, seeking apology for his tweet against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

India’s first Apache Guardian attack helicopter: The first Apache Guardian attack helicopter was formally handed over to the Indian Air force at its production facility in Arizona; the Indian air Force tweeted on Saturday.

India has signed a contract with the United States for 22 of these choppers.

Jet Airways crisis: Middle Eastern carrier Etihad Airways has submitted a bid for a stake in India’s Jet Airways, the unit of State Bank of India (SBI) overseeing the sale of the stricken airline said on Friday.
