Rishab Shetty on the Art of Multi-Tasking
The Kantara star says the trick is to not over-think
Kantara star and director-writer Rishab Shetty, who is currently busy playing Lord Hanuman in Prashanth Varma’s film Jai Hanuman, is simultaneously writing his next directorial.
Asked how he manages to keep so many balls in the air, Rishab says, “The secret is that I do not think much. If I come across a subject that arrests my attention, then I cannot let it go. I lack the patience to hold it back.”
Rishab reveals he is a very patient actor “I am ready to take and give multiple takes if required.”
Like Aamir Khan, he believes in sharing his ideas with those whose judgment he trusts. “If I strongly believe in a story, I narrate it to my friends or everyone I meet, just to see their reaction and at what point they feel bored. That helps me fine-tune it further.”
Does he ever step back when an idea doesn’t seem to work out? “I do not let the thought that it cannot be done enter my head. I push myself and everyone around me to believe that we can do it. Within four months of the Kantara idea striking us, we simultaneously wrote the dialogues, developed three or four versions of the script, and carried out to the pre-production,” he shares.
