Prabhas on Set Even When Not Shooting

Prabhas is known for taking on big-ticket films, but his commitment to Fauji appears to go beyond simply turning up for his scenes. According to Mythri Movie Makers producer Ravi Shankar Yellamanchili, the actor spends almost the entire working day on the sets — even when he has no scenes to shoot — closely following the making of Hanu Raghavapudi’s period drama.

“Prabhas is on the Fauji sets every day from 8 in the morning till around 6.30 in the evening. Even when his portion is not being shot, he comes to the sets, sits near the monitor and closely observes everything,” Ravi Shankar said.

The producer also expressed confidence that Fauji will be made on a different scale, saying the entire team is committed to delivering a quality product.

A source close to the project says the film will also present Prabhas in a departure from the predominantly action-driven roles he has played in films such as Salaar. Set in 1945, Fauji follows a soldier in the British Indian Army, with the role said to demand a combination of physical intensity and emotional depth.

“This is arguably his most demanding role in recent times,” the source said, adding that the character will explore both “strength and vulnerability”. The film also has a strong romantic thread, with Prabhas paired opposite newcomer Imanvi, a dancer and social media influencer. The source describes the love story as an important emotional layer in the narrative, alongside its action elements.
