Jyotika Speaks Out for Student Protestors
Proud of you, Gen Z; we want to raise our children to be like you, says the actress
Voices supporting the ongoing nationwide student protests in Delhi, led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), are growing louder by the day. The latest to join the list of prominent South Indian film personalities endorsing the cause is popular actress Jyotika. Hours before Union Education Minister stepped down, she expressed her support for the student movement, and specifically called for Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation over the controversial competitive NEET-UG examination process.
Taking to her official Instagram account, the actress wrote, “Step down Dharmendra Pradhan. Resign. I stand with the students and future of our nation! I stand with accountability. I stand for a democratic India. I stand for a reformed education.” Jyotika also applauded climate activist Sonam Wangchuk and youth leaders Abhijeet Dipke and Saurav Das.
