‘Cinema Has Enriched My Life,’ Says Sara Arjun

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say Sara Arjun became an overnight sensation after Dhurandhar. She is still sorting out the volume of her stardom. “The love I’ve received has been overwhelming. I’m still trying to fully take it in. Sometimes I pause and think about the fact that people have their own lives, a hundred responsibilities, and yet they take a moment out of that to tell me they felt something because of my work. That means more to me than I can put into words.” She shares that with success comes a sense of responsibility.

Despite starting out as a child actor, Sara says, “as a child, I was very uninhibited and completely raw in front of the camera. Now, I have to consciously work to reach that same space.”

Unlike many child actors, Sara doesn’t feel she missed out on a normal childhood. “If anything, it has enriched my life and given me experiences I’m very grateful for,” she says. “My parents placed great importance on schooling and travel, so I grew up in a balanced environment. I’ve always tried to make time for the things I enjoy outside of work. Sara is the daughter of actor Raj Arjun. “My father definitely guides me, he’s been my strongest pillar of support. All the decisions we make are collaborative.”
