YTD Trust Board Approves Major Development Works

Nalgonda: The Yadagirigutta Temple Devasthanam trust board on Friday approved several development works, including construction of a Deeksha Mandapam at a cost of Rs 43.12 crore and decided to assign Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, to prepare an action plan for temple development in line with Vision-2047.

The second meeting of the trust board was held at the meeting hall of the presidential suite and presided over by its chairman, Manne Satyanarayana Reddy.

The board approved construction of the Deeksha Mandapam near the Pushkarini on the hill shrine at a cost of Rs 43.12 crore. The facility will restore accommodation for devotees who undertake the Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy Deeksha. Such a facility had been discontinued when reconstruction of the temple was taken up.

Satyanarayana Reddy offered to bear the cost of construction of a Nitya Kalyana Mandapam at the Balalayam site at a cost of Rs 9.87 crore and a new arch at Raigiri in place of the existing one by spending Rs 3.16 crore.

The trust board also approved setting up a modern goshala on 40 acres in the temple town. It gave the go-ahead for utilising the services of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for online ticketing, seva bookings and IT services.

The board also decided to set up a 4MW solar grid at temple buildings and the parking area to reduce electricity costs. It approved setting up a donors' amenity centre on the hill shrine and a pilgrims' amenity centre at the RTC bus stand.

Trust board member Gunda Mallaiah offered to bear the Rs 9 lakh cost of constructing a second Kalyana Katta near the accommodation complexes at the foot of the hill shrine.

Another member, Kinidela Surekha, offered to bear the expenditure for setting up electronic Vishnu Chakra Namalu with a lighting system.

Trust board member Eshwaramma Yadav offered to bear the cost of installing solar fencing around Vishnu Pushkarini to protect it from monkeys.
