Hyderabad: An air show will be organised here on December 9 as part of the Grand Raksha Expo being held alongside the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026.
Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju reviewed the arrangements for the expo with senior officials on Thursday and directed departments to ensure comprehensive preparations for the event.
The Chief Secretary discussed the participation of leading defence and aerospace companies, infrastructure, security arrangements, publicity and other related issues.
He said nearly 30 per cent of India’s defence and aerospace industries were based in Hyderabad, making the city a major hub for these sectors.
The Raksha Expo, he said, would provide a significant platform to showcase Telangana’s capabilities, promote the growth of the defence and aerospace industries and attract investments to the state.
Jaju directed officials to invite leading national and international defence, aerospace and arms manufacturing companies to participate in the expo.
As part of the promotional campaign, roadshows will be organised here on October 24 and in Delhi on October 29.
He said the state government was prioritising the development of the defence and aerospace sectors and noted that an airfield strip was being developed in Adilabad.
The Chief Secretary directed officials to ensure the participation of industry bodies such as FICCI, Assocham, SIDM and MSMEs, besides public and private sector organisations in the defence and aerospace sectors.
Leading organisations such as HAL, BEL and BDL are expected to showcase their products at the expo.
The event will also facilitate business interactions, buyer-seller meetings, marketing opportunities, MoUs, startup collaborations and seminars.
In view of the ongoing modernisation of police and paramilitary forces across the country, Jaju directed officials to invite DGPs of all states to participate in the expo.
