Telangana Govt to Promote Digitalisation in Assembly, Council as Part of Paperless Governance Push

Sridhar Babu said that AI, cloud computing, data analytics and digital platforms would play a central role in governance

Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu on Friday said the state government would promote digitalisation in a big way in the legislative assembly and council proceedings as part of the push for paperless e-governance.

Speaking at an AI Transformation Conclave here, he said the state government's Digital Office project would accelerate paperless governance. He said AI, cloud computing, data analytics and digital platforms would play a central role in governance. The Real-Time Government Dashboard would integrate over 20 government departments on a single platform.

The state government's digital infrastructure initiative T-Fiber aims to provide digital connectivity to over 80 lakh rural households, Sridhar Babu said.
He also said doorstep citizen services for senior citizens and persons with disabilities would be launched soon. The minister added that Blockchain-based certificate services would also be introduced soon.
The state government in June this year decided to conduct paperless cabinet meetings as part of paperless governanceit is envisioning.
Sridhar Babu had on June 18 handed over special tabs to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and others during a special meeting of ministers at the Secretariat. The government had then decided to share the agenda of cabinet meetings with the ministers through e-book.
