Medical Students Protest Over Pending Stipends, Basic Facilities in Chevella

Hyderabad: Medical students staged a protest at Patnam Mahender Reddy Medical College in Chevella on Tuesday, demanding the release of their stipends and improvement of basic infrastructure on the campus.

The students sought immediate payment of pending stipends and the provision of essential facilities, including safe drinking water, adequate hostel accommodation and other basic amenities.

The students who are protesting alleged that the college management had failed to address their grievances despite repeated applications. According to the sources, the managament was paying deaf ear towards the problems of the students for the past 10 days.

They warned that the agitation would continue until their demands were fulfilled.
