Strong Law and Order Key to Telangana’s Growth: Revanth Reddy

“We are ensuring robust law and order, positioning Telangana as a safe destination for investments, industries, and international events,” he said after hoisting the national flag at Golconda Fort in connection with Independence Day celebrations.

He said the state government is cracking down heavily on drug trafficking and food adulteration. “We have established a system called 'TG-SAFE' to tackle the menace of drugs and food adulteration. The TG-SAFE brings the control of both food adulteration and drug menace under a single umbrella,” he said.

“We will conduct extensive inspections and take stringent measures to curb adulteration through the coordination of dedicated legal, laboratory, and enforcement wings,” he explained.

The state government established the new TG Traffic Management and Road Safety Bureau to regulate traffic congestion in urban areas and reduce accidents on highways and the Outer Ring Road (ORR).

“We have undertaken extensive state-wide awareness programs regarding the safety of women, children, and the youth through 'SHE Teams,' Anti-Human Trafficking Units, and 'Bharosa' centers,” he said.

Telangana has pioneered the establishment of child-friendly courts in the country through the 'Bharosa' project. “On this occasion, I extend my special congratulations to the police officers and staff who are maintaining law and order in the state,” he said.

Telangana has emerged as a role model for the country in digital governance. The government implemented the 'e-Office' system across all 36 Secretariat departments and conducted the country's first fully digital cabinet meeting and made over 581 government services accessible via WhatsApp.

Telangana established the country's first state-level AI data exchange—TGDEX. Through T-Fiber, it extended digital connectivity to 8,895 Gram Panchayats under the second phase of BharatNet and supporting 52 AI projects across 21 sectors through TGDEX.

To resolve public grievances at the mandal level, the government is launching 'PrajaVani' in all MPDO offices across the state starting on August 17. “We will conduct this program every Monday. We will soon launch an online 'PrajaVani' portal, enabling the submission of grievances from any part of the state. We will continuously monitor the progress of their resolution through a dedicated dashboard,” he explained.

Telangana is not competing with other states but with the world and initiated measures to build world-class infrastructure - Regional Ring Road spanning approximately 360 kilometres around Hyderabad.

“We are advancing projects across the state, including 6,092 kilometres of roads (under the HAM model and radial road networks) and the second phase of the Hyderabad Metro. We formulated a plan to expand the network by 122.9 kilometres across seven corridors under Metro Rail phase 2,” he said. Revival of the Mamunoor Airport and developing a joint-use airfield in Adilabad were given top priority. “We are moving forward to enhance road, rail, air, and logistics connectivity across the state. HYDRAA was established to protect lakes, storm-water drains, and government lands. We have undertaken the restoration of several lakes, including Bathukammakunta and Nallacheruvu,” Revanth Reddy said.

The State government initiated a comprehensive plan for the rejuvenation of the Musi River, covering a stretch of 55 kilometres. It is constructing 39 new Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) and advancing a plan to divert 2.5 TMC of fresh water from the Godavari River to the Musi.

Under the 'Hyderabad Industrial Lands Transformation Policy- (HILT Policy -2025), the government has undertaken the systematic reorganization of old industrial areas to reduce pollution and are facilitating the relocation of industries to new industrial zones.

The People's Government succeeded in creating confidence in Telangana among national and international industrialists and investors. This is evidenced by Telangana emerging as a 'Top Achiever' in the Business Reforms Action Plan across sectors such as business entry, construction permit enablers, the service sector, and land administration.

Furthermore, the government has secured investments worth ₹1.29 lakh crore through TG-iPASS, paving the way for over 78,000 job opportunities. Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹5.75 lakh crore were signed during the 'Telangana Rising Global Summit-2025'.

“We will host the 'Telangana Rising Global Summit' again this year to showcase the investment opportunities available in Telangana to the world. We have charted a plan to position Telangana among the world's top-tier life sciences clusters through the Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy-2026. We are creating new opportunities for Telangana in the semiconductor, electronics, and advanced manufacturing sectors,” he said.

Telangana is surging ahead in the IT sector. IT exports from the state reached ₹3.97 lakh crore in 2025-26. Direct IT employment has risen to 12.14 lakh. Currently, over 355 Global Capability Centers (GCCs) are operating in Hyderabad.

In 2026 alone, 40 new Global Capability Centers were established in the city. Telangana has emerged as one of the fastest-growing destinations in the country in the fields of data centers, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.

Amazon has announced an additional investment of $7 billion in Telangana. One of the country's largest hyperscale, AI-ready cloud infrastructure campuses is taking shape in the 'Bharat Future City' and Chandanvelly areas.

Telangana ushered in a new chapter in the tourism sector. We introduced the first comprehensive Tourism Policy (2025) aiming to create thousands of direct and indirect jobs. Telangana has emerged as the number one state in the country for establishing 'Youth Tourism Clubs.'

To further advance the tourism sector, we are expanding new projects across heritage, spiritual, eco-tourism, and water tourism domains. We have prepared a development plan at the cost of ₹1,000 crore for the prestigious Godavari Pushkaralu scheduled for next year.

Over the past 32 months, the people's government has instilled confidence in 4 crore people of the state through welfare initiatives. The government has accelerated development across all sectors and taken historic decisions regarding social justice.

The youngest State of Telangana attracted global investments and laid a strong foundation in the infrastructure, technology, and skills essential for the future economy. 'Telangana Rising-2047' represents a grand vision to elevate Telangana to even greater heights, building upon these successes.

The state government has set a goal to transform Telangana into a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2034 and a three-trillion-dollar economy by 2047. We are moving forward with the aim of increasing the state's share of the national GDP to 10 percent.

“We have formulated a plan for the state's comprehensive development based on three zones: the 'CURE' (Core Urban Region Economy) inside the Outer Ring Road around Hyderabad, the 'PURE ' (Peri-Urban Region Economy) between the Outer Ring Road and Regional Ring Road (RRR), and the 'RARE' (Rural-Agri Region Economy) situated beyond the RRR,” he said.

“We are developing 'Bharat Future City' as the country's first net-zero smart city. It is being built as a world-class hub for AI, data centers, advanced manufacturing, research, innovation, and future technologies. All these initiatives will transform the face of the Telangana of tomorrow,” Revanth Reddy said.

“Over the past two and a half years of people-centric governance, we laid strong foundations for the reconstruction of Telangana. We are accelerating the process of building Telangana for a bright future. Telangana People are playing an active role in every success achieved by the people's government over the past two and a half years,” he said.
