Hyderabad:The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will hold its annual Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (ABKM) Baithak in Indore, in Madhya Pradesh’s Malwa region, from November 2 to 4. The three-day meeting will review the organisation’s centenary-year programmes and chart its next phase of expansion and social work.

RSS sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat, sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, all six sah-sarkaryavahs and members of the national executive will attend the meeting. Functionaries from all 46 prants and 11 kshetras, including sanghchalaks, karyavahs and pracharaks at state and regional levels, will also participate.
The meeting follows the formal conclusion of the RSS’s centenary year with the Vijayadashami Utsav at Reshimbagh in Nagpur on October 20, where Dr Bhagwat delivered the annual address.
The ABKM is likely to focus on converting the centenary outreach into sustained growth of daily shakhas, family contact and social-service activity. The meeting will also deliberate on concerns relating to content circulating through various media platforms, rising drug abuse, alleged external interference in the country’s internal affairs and the global situation. The delegates will discuss ways to take forward the Panch Parivartan agenda—social harmony, family enlightenment, civic responsibility, environmental protection and a Swadeshi way of life.
After the centenary celebrations, the RSS plans to retain contact with families and volunteers reached during the campaign and involve them in local problem-solving, social service and community activities. Functionaries indicated that the organisation will continue working towards reaching the goal of one lakh shakhas and expanding its presence to more villages.
