Prayers, Processions Mark Milad-Un-Nabi in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Special prayers, religious gatherings, processions and charity programmes marked Milad-un-Nabi celebrations in Hyderabad, with families exchanging greetings and preparing traditional festive food, including kheer puri, choba and halwa puris.
The Markazi Milad Juloos Committee organised the Central Milad Peace Juloos after Zohar prayers from the historic Macca Masjid near Charminar. The procession passed through Gulzar Houz, Madina Building, Salar Jung Museum, Darul Shifa, Purani Haveli, Kotla Alijah and Bibi Bazaar.

A Milad-un-Nabi Juloos welcome stage was arranged at NRR Puram, Site-1, opposite Kaman in Borabanda division, under the leadership of former Borabanda corporator and former GHMC deputy mayor Md Baba Fasiuddin. Jubilee Hills MLA V. Naveen Yadav attended the programme and welcomed the procession.
Borabanda Congress leaders, temple priests, mosque imams, Sikh religious heads and Christian pastors attended the programme and extended greetings on the occasion.
Charity programmes were also organised as part of the celebrations. Muslim leader Sadeq Siraj said, “We organised a five-day eye camp that was open to everyone. To mark the festival, Muslim families also undertook several charitable activities, while families came together to celebrate the occasion.”
