Orientation Programme Held for PM SHRI School Heads, Education Officials for 2026–27 Academic Year

HYDERABAD: Samagra Shiksha Telangana has prepared PM SHRI school heads and education officials for the 2026–27 academic year through a two-day state-level orientation on budgets, school development plans, monitoring, documentation and the use of approved funds.
Close to 1,000 people participated, including headmasters and principals of PM SHRI schools, academic monitoring officers, gender and equity coordinators, drawing and disbursing officers and community mobilisation officers.
School education director Dr E. Naveen Nicolas, state project director of Samagra Shiksha, said PM SHRI schools should develop into model institutions in line with the National Education Policy 2020.
Nicolas also spoke about school leadership, learning outcomes, digital learning, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, life skills, inclusion, health and well-being. He called for active participation from teachers, parents and communities.
Technical sessions covered foundational literacy and numeracy, pre-primary education, competency-based learning, vocational education, gender and equity, inclusive education, financial management, community participation, eco-friendly initiatives, documentation, monitoring and evaluation.
