Government Whip Balmuri Venkat calls on Telangana DGP C.V. Anand, submitting a memorandum seeking immediate police action against alleged defamatory social media campaigns run by BRS against CM Revanth Reddy.

HYDERABAD: Congress MLC and Government Whip Balmuri Venkat on Monday lodged a complaint with DGP C.V. Anand over the social media activity of the BRS.

Venkat met the DGP on Monday evening and alleged that the BRS was spreading false information against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy through social media platforms.

He urged the police to take steps to curb what he described as a misinformation campaign against the Chief Minister.
