Man Posing As IAF Officer Arrested Near Secunderabad Parade Ground
During questioning, police officials found that Nitish Kumar had been luring young women by claiming to be an Air Force officer.
Hyderabad: A man claiming to be an Indian Air Force officer was apprehended near Parade Ground in Secunderabad on Thursday.
According to Begumpet Police, "A man claiming to be an Indian Air Force officer was apprehended near Parade Ground, Secunderabad, on October 7 (Wednesday) at around 1:45 pm. He has been identified as Nitesh Kumar Pal, originally from Bihar and currently working as a delivery agent in Hyderabad andwas living in Neredmet"
The man had entered the Parade Ground dressed in uniform and wandered around taking photographs. He was detained by military officials after his behaviour raised suspicion. Upon checking, he was found to be an impostor posing as an Air Force officer.
During questioning, officials found that Nitish Kumar had been luring young women by claiming to be an Air Force officer. An examination of his phone confirmed that he had been befriending women on Instagram under the guise of an Air Force officer. Officials suspect that he went to the Parade Ground to take photographs to impress and trap more women. After questioning, military officials handed the fake officer over to Begumpet police.
He has been taken into custody, and a case has been registered, police said, adding that further investigation is underway.
