MMC Commissioner Orders Drainage Clean-up

Hyderabad: MMC Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy has directed officials to strengthen the drainage system in Nacharam’s Snehapuri Colony and ensure the unobstructed flow of rainwater.

On Wednesday, Krishna Reddy conducted field inspections of several flood‑prone areas, including Zaheer Nagar, Snehapuri Colony, Raghavendra Nagar, NTR Nagar and the Nacharam–Mallapur Road.

At Raghavendra Nagar, the Commissioner ordered immediate removal of construction debris piled up along the roads. He instructed officials to undertake cleaning operations to prevent garbage accumulation in nalas and storm‑water drains during the monsoon. Similarly, officials were told to maintain nalas and drains to ensure free flow of rainwater on Nacharam–Mallapur Road.
