Madrasa Teacher Gets Life Term in POCSO Sexual Assault Case in Pahadisharif

Hyderabad: The fast track special judge for trial and disposal of rape and POCSO Act cases in Ranga Reddy district convicted a Madrasa teacher Mohammed Munawar Hussain in a sexual assault case registered under Pahadisharif police station limits and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
Hussain was a Madrasa teacher at Mamidipally village in Balapur and native of Purnia district in Bihar.
Upon establishing guilt with strong evidence, the court sentenced Hussain to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs.25,500. Furthermore, the court awarded Rs.2 lakh as victim compensation, according to Pahadisherif Inspector B. Lakshmi Narayana Reddy.
He said the incident came to light when the boy fell sick and informed his mother that the teacher violated him in a house at Rajiv Gandhi Nagar. The victim further revealed that the accused had committed a similar act two days prior. She alerted her husband who lodged a complaint with the police.
The police registered a case under Section 351(2) of BNS and Section 5(f)(l) and 6 of POCSO Act.
