Kosgi: Gold Trader’s Son Booked Under SC/ ST Act For Abusing Housemaid
A gold trader’s son in Kosgi town allegedly exploited a young woman (20) working as a domestic servant at his house under the pretext of love and impregnated her.

Narayanpet: In a case that came to light recently in Kosgi town in Narayanpet district in Telangana, a gold trader’s son allegedly sexually exploited a young woman (20) working as a domestic maid servant at his house, impregnated her, and later used casteist slurs against her when she proposed marriage.
According to police, Sai Krishna had lured the woman in the name of love and impregnated the woman, who is currently three months pregnant. When the matter became public, the woman’s family questioned Sai Krishna’s family. His father then held talks with local elders; however, the woman refused to accept money and approached the police on Saturday. Local political leaders also intervened in the matter and told the Kosgi police that they would “settle the matter,” so no case was registered. The victim alleged that Sai Krishna had promised to marry her and later abused her in the name of caste.
Based on the family’s complaint, the police booked Sai Krishna under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act on Sunday night. The woman was shifted to the Narayanpet district headquarters for medical examination.
Narayanpet DSP N Lingayya commenced an inquiry into the case and visited the trader’s house and questioned family members. He also collected details from the victim’s family and inquired about Sai Krishna’s conduct with neighbours and local shopkeepers. Police said a report will be submitted to the SP once the investigation is completed.
