Karimnagar: ACB Traps Beerpur RI While Accepting Bribe

KARIMNAGAR: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Thursday trapped Beerpur revenue inspector Manchikatl Rahul while allegedly accepting a Rs 30,000 bribe from a woman.
According to ACB police, Rahul had allegedly demanded Rs 50,000 to conduct a field survey of the woman’s land and issue a report for registration and issuance of a pattadar passbook. He later agreed to accept Rs 40,000.
The RI allegedly asked the complainant to pay Rs 30,000 on Thursday and the remaining Rs 10,000 after completion of the work.
Unable to pay the bribe, the woman approached the ACB, which laid a trap and caught Rahul while he was allegedly accepting the amount at her residence in Siripuram Colony, Beerpur.
