Hyderabad: HYDRAA commissioner A.V. Ranganath inspected the dilapidated building of the Kingsway Government High School at Secunderabad's RP Road on Saturday, and interacted with students and teachers.
The faculty informed Ranganath that portions of the ceiling were breaking and falling down. GHMC deputy commissioner D.D. Nayak and assistant town planning officer Pavani said that they had issued notices seven years ago, stating that the school was in ruins and was dangerous to be used.
The commissioner spoke with the trust members of nearby Mahbub School and requested them to accommodate the students until an alternative is developed. The trust said it would examine the proposal.
Ranganath said the building would be demolished during the holidays, and urged the collector and education officers to construct a new building as soon as possible.
