Economic Offences PS Launched at Malkajgiri Commissionerate

The EOW will register cases of financial fraud involving cheating, criminal breach of trust, and fabrication of documents where the fraud exceeds Rs.2 crore

Hyderabad: An economic offences wing (EOW) police station was started at the office of Malkajgiri Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty in Neredmet here on Wednesday.

Mohanty made a GD entry at the police station. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Road Safety, K Manohar, will supervise the EOW police station along with two Assistant Commissioners of Police, P. Sathaiah and C. Anjaiah and three Inspectors K. Bhaskar, A. Surya Nayak and K. Ravi Kumar.

The EOW will register cases of financial fraud involving cheating, criminal breach of trust, and fabrication of documents where the fraud exceeds Rs.2 crore and cases under the Telangana State Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishments Act-1999 (as amended in 2023), involving amounts above Rs.1 crore and any other cases as directed by the Commissioner of Police.
