Telugu Actress Aamani Joins Saffron Party In Telangana

Aamani was inducted into the party in the presence of BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy.

Hyderabad: Popular film actress Aamani joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at the party’s state office on Saturday. She was inducted into the party in the presence of BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, who welcomed her by draping the party scarf.

Aamani, a popular leading actress of the 1990s, was paired opposite top actors, including Kamal Haasan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Balakrishna, and Jagapati Babu. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in Telugu for the film Subha Lagnam and the Nandi Award for Best Actress for the films Subha Sankalpam and Mister Pellam.
She made her comeback to films with Aa Naluguru and continues to act in character roles in movies. She also forayed into Telugu and Tamil television serials.
Along with Aamani, prominent makeup artist and Nandi Award recipient Shobhalatha also joined the BJP. Several party leaders, including BJP State General Secretary N. Gautham Rao, State Vice President Jayashree, and others were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramchander Rao spoke about Aamani’s contribution to Telugu cinema, her successful career across Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films, besides television serials. Aamani and Shobhalatha were inspired by the governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and joined the BJP with a desire to serve the nation, he said.
