Hyderabad: A joint high‑level inspection team comprising officials from Hyderabad city police, GHMC, HYDRAA, R&B and other departments conducted a comprehensive inspection of the 19-km Ganesh immersion procession route on on Tuesday.

City police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said around 20,000 police personnel would be deployed across the city, and the route would monitored via CCTV from the command Centre.

Quick response teams, dog squads, anti‑chain snatching teams and SHE Teams will be stationed along the route.

Sajjanar instructed zonal officers to ensure that pandal idols departed for immersion on time and urged organisers to follow safety guidelines to prevent electrical hazards in view of the rains.

He emphasised that the Hyderabad Ganesh immersion procession holds a unique place in the country and appealed for public cooperation.

Senior officials inspected the route from Balapur Ganesh pandal via Chandrayangutta, Falaknuma, Charminar and M.J. Market up to Telugu Thalli Flyover, reviewing height restrictions, overhead clearances and road conditions.
