HYDERABAD: A 45‑year‑old animal caretaker died after a water‑soaked loft from the second floor of an adjacent building collapsed on him during heavy rains on Tuesday.
According to Goshamahal police, the victim, T. Ram Singh, had just finished feeding his cows at his yard in Shankarlal Bazaar, Begum Bazaar, and was entering his house around 6 pm when the loft fell.
Building owner Rohit rushed him to Osmania General Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police said three empty shells were found at the scene and the body was shifted for post‑mortem before being handed over to his family on Wednesday.
Ram Singh, who lived in Shankarlalnagar, was known locally for selling cow milk in Begum Bazaar.
