Hyderabad: Hours after the simultaneous raids carried out by the sleuths of Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at his house and other places on Thursday, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) S Bheem Reddy was hospitalized and is undergoing treatment in a corporate hospital here.
As Reddy’s BP levels started fluctuating and moreover he is suffering from Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), the ACB gave permission to the family members to admit him to the hospital. The permission was granted only after checking his previous health records.
The ACB officials also spoke to the doctor, who said that Reddy’s blood pressure reading went up to 170/120 mmHg, and thus his health condition must be monitored regularly, “As of now, we have not arrested him. Based on the doctor’s advice after Reddy’s health condition improves, we will complete the formalities related to his arrest,” a senior ACB official said.
He further stated the ACB teams would conduct more raids at the properties belonging to Reddy in Hyderabad and its suburbs in addition to those carried out on Thursday at his house and 15 other places including his relatives, friends, benamidars and other associates.
“We could not find any information pertaining to bank lockers during the raids at his house,” the official said. Reddy is now working as DSP Police Computer Services in Hyderabad.
The official further stated that plans have been chalked out for a detailed evaluation of the total value of immovable properties allegedly acquired by Reddy so far. The market value of immovable properties in Hyderabad and its outskirts, Zaheerabad in Sangareddy and Vikarabad in addition to Karnataka may be many times higher than the document value, he added.
