140mm Rain In Serilingampally

The highest rainfall was recorded at Khajaguda Sports Complex, Gachibowli (Serilingampally) in Rangareddy district with 140.3 mm.

Hyderabad witnessed intense overnight rainfall with several parts of the city and its outskirts recording over 100 mm of rain, according to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TDPS).

The highest rainfall was recorded at Khajaguda Sports Complex, Gachibowli (Serilingampally) in Rangareddy district with 140.3 mm. This was followed by GHMC Transport Building, Saroornagar at 128.8 mm, and Srinagar Colony (Jubilee Hills) at 127.5 mm.

Other areas with significant rainfall included:

  • CESS, Khairatabad – 126.8 mm

  • Yousufguda Zonal Commissioner Office – 124.8 mm

  • GHMC Zonal Office, Uppal – 117.8 mm

  • L.B. Nagar (GHMC Office) – 113.0 mm

  • CMTC Premises, Banjara Hills – 110.0 mm

  • Maitrivanam, Ameerpet – 109.8 mm

Even the lower rainfall figures in the list remained above 100 mm, indicating widespread heavy showers across the GHMC limits. Localities like Raidurga, New Nagole, Rock Town Colony, Bandlaguda, and Shaikpet all reported between 102 mm and 108 mm.

The heavy rains are expected to bring relief from the recent heat but could also lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas. GHMC teams have been deployed for clearing drains and ensuring traffic movement.
