JNTU Vice Chancellor Dr Krishna Kumar Reddy and Jangaon BRS MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy,

Hyderabad:An indirect conflict appears to be brewing between JNTU Vice Chancellor Dr Krishna Kumar Reddy and Jangaon BRS MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, with women related to them in official or personal capacities lodging complaints and counter-complaints against their backers.

In a complaint lodged two days after Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT) principal Dr Srujana lodged a complaint against the Vice Chancellor, his wife filed a complaint with the KPHB police accusing MLA Rajeshwar Reddy of threatening her at around 11 pm on October 9. She said she got the call when she was at the Tirupati airport.

Dr Srujana, the principal of VJIT, an institution associated with Rajeshwar Reddy, had last week filed a complaint against Dr Krishna Reddy of behaving inappropriately towards her when she went to invite him to an event. Dr D. Aruna Kumari, the head of the CSE department at VJIT, joined Srujana in filing the complaint.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle. Rajeshwar Reddy denied threatening the Vice-Chancellor's wife and said he had not uttered a single word to her. He also dismissed the allegation of intimidation as false, and noted that the VJIT principal had lodged a police complaint against the Vice Chancellor.

KPHB inspector G. Vijay Kumar told Deccan Chronicle that the investigation into these two complaints was ongoing. He said legal action would be taken in accordance with the rules after gathering facts and examining the evidence.
